Ugh! Just STOP TALKING!!

Okay, I have to vent a little here...I have a tough job.  I spend my days teaching 24 seven and eight year olds.  Yes, it is a stressful job, but at the end of the day, I LOVE MY JOB!  Honestly, I want to be a stay at home mom when our blessings come, but I don't know if I could ever do it?!

Saying that, I am sooooo sick of these stay at home moms who post all throughout the day how stressful their job is, how they need a vacation, how they would just like a break!  UGH!  Just STOP TALKING!!  Did you not know going into motherhood that it would be a stressful job?  At the same time, as much as I am sure it is stressful, shut up!  Seriously, shut up!  I understand everyone has a bad day and needs  to vent, but seriously there are some moms that I know who every freakin post they put on good ol fb has something to do with needing a vacation or wanting to enjoy a lunch without a kid in their lap.  UGH!

It annoys me so much.  How about instead of complaining about being able to do the most amazing job in the world, look at it as the blessing it truly is!  I would give anything to sit at the table with my baby in my lap and savor the moment.

These same women who are complaining all the time are popping out children as if they were a gumball machine.  Here's an idea, STOP!

I'm sorry if I offend anyone through this post, I know that there are some stressful days as being a stay at home mom.  I am talking about people in my life that literally every post I read has some type of negative tone as to being a mom.  I read them and I just want to jump through the computer and yell at them!  Do they know how horrible they sound?

This post has been brewing for awhile, so I apologize if it comes off crabby.  This just irritates the daylights out of me.  Look at what you have as a blessing, not as a "job" or a negative thing because there are people out there that would do that "job" for no pay and savor EVERY moment!  I'm just saying....

Maybe you should politely make a comment about not everyone getting to experience the ups and downs of motherhood and they would take the hint. I'd be tempted to anyway!

Oh no, have you been reading my facebook? LOL. I feel so awful right now. I am guilty of doing that, though not every post. I was a nanny for many years, prior to that I worked full time in Real Estate. So, I know how hard it is to work full time outside the home, and I also know how hard it is to work full time with a kid. BUT, I was not expecting to have a very needy, stubborn, opinionated (sp?)little girl. Boy, she takes me for the ride f my life ....daily!! LOL. But, I love it and I love her....but sometimes I need to vent, so I turn to my handy fb and do it. Opps!! Sorry for not thinking about how my posts could come off to others. I love being a mom and I love being a stay at hoem mom. My "job" is very tough (and I don't get much credit for doing it,) but I do love it. I'd hope that the people who you were refering to feel the same.Maybe they just need to vent sometimes too. :)

Those posts on facebook drive me nuts too. I feel like they have NO idea how blessed they are... And yes, it is a hard job, but an amazing one too.

Being a SAHM is the best, yet most difficult job I have ever had. There are frustrating days, and fantastic days. Of course we are blessed, but we also don't sit around all day eating bon-bons and watching soap operas. I think that is a misconception of some working moms, and we SAHMs need to reinforce that we are working too. When I work outside my home (at a hospital in patient care), it is infinitely easier than juggling my kids and housework. Do I love my kids?? With everything that I have and more. Am I frustrated?? On a daily basis. Sometimes FB and Blogs are an outlet for ALL frustrations.

We live in a society where it is more acceptable to complain, unfortunately. As a "stay at home mom" for 6 months and almost 6 months of being a full time teaching mom under my belt, I think I've experienced enough of both world to say I'd rather stay home with my kiddos! I think for the most part, those parents just don't have much else to write about on fb.

I totally agree--comments like those come off to me as so ungrateful! That is one positive about all our struggles--we are constantly aware of how blessed we are by our son (who joined our family thru open adoption), and even when it's stressful (he's a toddler so there's some stress!), we are just so overjoyed to have him in our lives and to finally be parents that it really doesn't faze us.

People who don't have kids can't possibly understand the stress of dealing with a difficult child. 24/7 no breaks, no time off. You can be grateful for your kid and still have a hard time dealing with them some days. Just saying that maybe you should just block that person if you don't want to read what they write on thier personal fb page.

I know THAT feeling all too well. I so wish moms would realize how blessed they are - especially those that get to stay home. I've had to clamp my mouth so many times because I want to explode on those women... ...but I don't. lol.
