Sorry...Can't Help It

So, I wasn't going to say anything, but then I read a blog about it and I'm all fired up! I know, that's a new one! :) Anyway, I hate to go "there", but I'm going.

Jon and Kate...PLEASE! Are you freaking kidding me? Okay, all that talk yesterday about the big "announcement," I figured couldn't be divorce. That was such an easy thing. I thought maybe someone, Jon, Kate, some executive at TLC would have realized their actions and thought maybe instead of ending a marriage and ruining 8 children's lives, I don't know, maybe go to counseling and work on it!

I don't know, maybe they did, maybe they tried to work on it. But I highly doubt it. The last couple shows was ridiculous to watch two grown adults do everything in their POWER to ignore each other. I mean, who is the adult in this situation???

Both of those two claimed and claimed and claimed they were doing everything for the best for their children. Really?? Really?? I guess I just don't see it. It just infuriates me that those two are so concerned with their status with America, rather than looking inward and concerning themselves with the well-being of their family.

I watched the show from day one and LOVED it! I loved watching this family who seemed so real and honest. Kate was VERY annoying, but Jon and her seemed to balance each other out. However, last season, I noticed a change in her. She seemed more concerned with herself and the whole dynamic seemed to shift. Once they moved to the new house, I just didn't like her anymore. She is NOT the same woman who showed her dog jowl stomach to the world. I'm sorry I'm sure I'm upsetting some people, but this just really turks me off. My husband and I would give ANYTHING to have a family and keep them protected and loved while there is one family who at one time wanted the same thing and is throwing it away. For what? Fame? I won't be watching anymore. I pray that the Gosselin children come through this unharmed and someone starts to really look out for them!!!!

Hi Michelle!! Thanks for stopping by my blog! I have taught second grade for 5 years, but my principal moved me to 3rd next year. aahhh!

I completely agree with you about the show...I've seen every episode and I am disgusted with them lately. I was hoping for a turn around, but no such luck.

I think whoring out their kids for money is disgusting. And their kids will hate them for this when they get older.

Maybe the Dion Quints ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dionne_quintuplets ) could give them some tips on how to live while being completely exploited.....

Sad, sad situation. I think everyone should stop watching these kinds of shows....it's just so horrible for the kids.....

The biggest losers in this circus is indeed the kids. God be with them....

I completely agree. I have watched their show since the beginning and it saddens me to think that they're just going to give up and walk away. It's such a shame and wow, those poor kids. :-(

I know what you mean, I don't have a side in this sometimes I feel bad for Kate because I feel like John did some things to her to kill her inside weather he admits it or not. Then I feel bad for John because he has a crazy drill Sargent for a wife. But like you said they knew that when they got married and they've always made it work. They balanced each other out and now it feels like they are giving up. I just think years from now they will regret this decision. Its a sad situation for the kids yes. I guess we would have to know all the true details to really truly know what happened there.

I used to LOVE the show. It made me feel like my life was tame, even on our crazy days (...as I type, I have spit up running down my arm...) I think money and fame went to their heads and eventually came between them.
I was pissed while watching Monday's episode when the announcement was made. The whole situation is sad and I hope TLC terminates their contract so the kids can heal in peace. If they do run for another season, I won't be watching.

I also thought they balanced each other out.
In the last episode, I saw them sitting on the couch togerther and a had hope.
part of me thinks its just for show, like there making the show more dramatic than ever before.

But I feel so sorry for their lovely children.

You can tell they would be much better parents if they werent caught up in all the fame.

Thanks for your lovely comment.

I so agree...the best solution when you don't want to argue in front of the kids anymore is to divorce. That is always the right answer.

Jon needs to quit saying, "I'm only 32" and man up. You didn't get to run around and party in your 20's because you were changing diapers...diapers of the kids you now claim that you would do anything for. So back away from the bar and get your a** back home and deal with your problems!!!!

Done. Thanks for the topic!

I totally agree! I feel bad for the kids. They'll one day look back and be able to see how their parents acted...on television.

Returning your ICLW comment - thanks for stopping by my blog! :)

Sorry if I was the one who got you all riled up!! I wasn't going to write about it, but in the end I gave in. The whole situation is really upsetting. My heart just breaks for their kids. I won't be watching anymore, either...

Thanks for visiting my blog!

I really do feel for the kids. I only watched the show once in a while. I understood at first why they did the show but it still gave me the creeps. I hoped their announcement would be that they were going to go into counseling to rescue their marriage... oh well.
